Joseph M. Callahan Jr. brings an extensive background in executive management. Over a 30-year period, he worked as an Engineer, Vice President of Engineering, Executive Vice President of Operations and, for nearly two decades, President & Chief Executive Officer of a multi-plant high-tech manufacturing company. For the past decade, he has been Founder and President of Strategic Business Resources Group. The blending of these experiences, coupled with an extensive background in Strategic Planning and business finance position will support GCi’s five-year growth opportunities. Mr. Callahan holds a degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering from Roger Williams University and is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth. He is past President and Chairman, respectively, of two major U.S. industry organizations (SPE, SPI). He also serves on several area Boards of Director, including a large industrial manufacturer and two well known non-profits.
Mr. Allott is a founder of the company and has been with GCi since 1990. He served as sole officer of the company from 1999 through 2010 and during that period was directly responsible for all aspects of its operation and growth. His focus is now directly on leading GCi's sales efforts and leading the engineering team in new product development. Mr. Allott earned a cum laude BS degree in Mechanical Engineering at R.P.I in 1987, specializing in Composites, after having worked in the ski and bicycle industry for ten years where he developed both his interest in composite materials and an appreciation for their expanded use. Upon graduation from R.P.I he was recruited by DuPont where he managed their satellite structure projects for four+ years and was exposed to a wide range of composites and processing techniques.
Ms. Lane has direct oversight of all GCi manufacturing operations. She was hired by GCi in 2009 specifically to implement the ISO 9000:2008 certification program, which she accomplished in a short 18 months prior to being promoted to her current position. Ms. Lane earned a BS in Biomechanical Engineering (Mechanical Concentration) at R.P.I in 1989. She has held positions of increasing responsibility involving management and product development in the medical device industry, holds three patents for different medical devices and has run a small company of her own prior to coming to GCi.
On board since 2006, Mr. Albert earned a BA degree at the University of Rochester in 1989 and an MBA at Rutgers in 1995. His previous experience includes several years on Wall Street, including some time as a financial analyst, and five years as CFO of a $4MM/yr manufacturing company in Vermont. He is responsible for all accounting and financial management functions at GCi.
Ms. James joined GCi in November 2011. With an eclectic breadth of expertise from +20 years in marketing, technology, and logistics, she brings over 10 years of experience in manufacturing, including roles as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. She is a Lean Six Sigma black belt and has implemented programs for Just-in-Time, lean manufacturing and FSC certification. Ms. James is a Captain in the U.S. Navy Reserve, having commanded over nine units focused primarily on expeditionary logistics and supply chain management. She serves on the board of the Northern Forest Center's Sustainable Forest Futures. Ms. James holds a BS in Advertising from Syracuse University, as well as graduate management studies at New York University.
